Snow!

Woke up the other morning to snow. Chi loves the snow. I think he looks rather cute with the snow on the end of his nose.

Sheltie Good Citizens!

Rumaging through my photos trying to find a cute one of Griz & Chi I came across this picture taken in Nov 2004 when Chi obtained his silver good citizen cert.
From left to right Chi, litter sister Zen (Obay Truly Balanced), Auntie - tho not related, Pax (Obay Peace on Earth), litter brother Lucky (Obay Truly Lucky), and Lucky's pack mate Sam.
Thanks to Billingshurst Dog Training Club we had a gr8 morning working our dogs towards this fun acheivement.

Linden 'Tis True

This is Chi's Mum. In her hay day she was a beauty queen acheiveing Championship status in Canada and the US. No wonder she produced such gr8 puppies. True is loved by everyone who meets her she is gentle and mild unless you are a fellow canine trying to eat her food!
There's nothing True likes better than to chase Chi round the field but unfortunately he thinks it cramps his style.

Lady Grizelda Marcross

Chi's most favourite current pack member is undoubtly Griz. He would follow her to the end of the earth. Griz was fundamental in teaching Chi to run. We spent many a walk laughing at how Griz would trot round gouding Chi to chase her with him full pelt yipping into the wind trying to catch up. Now a days he can almost keep up with Griz at a good canter. Watch this space for a video!

The Gr8 Noble Billy Ottaman

Here is a photo of the no - ball! Billy who swims like an otter. He is the most senior of Chi's current pack. Billy's achievements include:-

May 2003 winning out of starters into Novice - making me a Novice handler for ever.

May 2004 Jersey mini/midi Champion

Crufts 2005 runner up in the Eukanuba mini circular knockout

Nov 2006 Gold Canine Good Citizen

I attribute much of this success to adopting 'the Obay way' of training along with my own willingness to work hard at training, exercising, massaging and loving my dogs. Billy is also very proud to have been accepted into the ranks of the Obay Shelties as an honorary sheltie - no mean feet for a mongrel I can tell you!

During his agility career Billy won the best trophy I have ever had the pleasure of receiving. He gained this for the first place that moved us up into the Novice class.

A Walk in the Park

Today we went for a 6 mile walk in and around Petworth Park. Walking is our main fitness maintenance during the winter months (Dec & Jan) when we take a well earned break from agility & agility training. Chi, his sister Zen (Obay Truly Balanced) & niece Hex (Obay Truly Wicked) are pictured here sat near the dog memorial on the lake.

Apparently - so our knowledgeable guide Tim told us, the dog had rescued a human from drowning.

Ha - P New Year!

Lisa & Chi wish everyone - particualrly family & friends, a very Ha - P New Year!
Whilst walking in the woods today we came across this heart formed from holly branches - a good photo opportunity!
Chi, as always, looks his handsome self but the human well..... late night last night was it? At least she has the excuse that it was New Years!
